Can Litecoin halving event ignite a new alt season?

The digital silver to Bitcoin’s digital gold, Litecoin, has been the constant frontrunner of the crypto market since the beginning of February. The question is now, can LTC ignite a new alt season.

Litecoin's halving event will occur in less than 70 days from today, and the crypto community is expecting the 5th most popular cryptocurrency to once again lead the crypto markets to higher highs.

Litecoin has been one of the top performing altcoins and has surged from around $68 to $102 over the past 30 days and reached its highest level for almost a year.

Litecoin is currently trading around $102, and is showing a gain of 2% on the day.

The community is now wondering if Litecoin will ignite an all-out alt season and push the world's number one cryptocurrency upward trend even higher, as the expected FOMO is bound to set in.

As Litecoin broke above the $100 price mark once again today, analysts are pointing out that Litecoin peaked 2 years after it's previous halving and that if history repeats itself, Litecoin could see a new all-time-high somewhere in 2021.

Most of the Litecoin community members are convinced that LTC's halving will only bring major gains and give a boost to the entire cryptoverse.

Do you think Litecoin halving will boost LTC's price? Let us know in the poll below.
