Market sees minor losses as Bitcoin hovers around $8,000

The market seems to have taken a breather from its rally as most coins see minor losses while Bitcoin lingers around the $8,000 mark.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $8,060.82, a decrease of 0.82% over the last 24 hours. These losses are echoed throughout the market as Ethereum and XRP are down 0.20% and 0.49%, respectively. ETH is now trading at $252.68 while XRP is worth $0.388. Cardano and Stellar both see losses of over 1%.

The top 10’s previous winner, Litecoin, has since lost most of its 11% gains. Now up just over 2%, LTC is valued at $102.04. Binance Coin is today’s top earner trading at $35.02, an increase of 3.04%.

Expanding to the top 20, Bitcoin SV stands out as being one of the market’s biggest losers, shedding 10.39% of its value, likely a result of the recent 51% attack against the network. Dash, IOTA and Cosmos are all in the red over 2%.

As far as the rest of the market goes Aurora is the single biggest loser as it tanks almost 30%, though there’s nothing to immediately explain this decline. It’s possible the coin is dumping after seeing 97% gains yesterday. Chainlink is another project with a notable loss, slipping over 10% to $1.15.

The overall gainer is Theta Fuel, managing to hold on to some of its 130% gains seen yesterday following its Binance listing. The coin is currently up 37.20%, trading at $0.021.

Total market cap is $251.2 billion, while BTC’s dominance remains steady at 56.9%.
