Whale alert: 2 BTC whales move $84 million in last 24 hours

As Bitcoin continues to show its upward price movement around the $8,000 mark, whales are reportedly waking up, ready to throw their weight around the crypto ecosystem.

Two Bitcoin whales are moving a total of 10500 BTC, worth a massive $84 million, between various wallets and exchanges in the last 24 hours.

The ever-vigilant Twitter account known as Whale Alert has noted two major whale movements today, the first of which occurred earlier today, worth $40 million in two separate transactions.

One of those transactions sent 2,000 BTC to the crypto exchange Bitfinex, which might indicate that this whale might be getting ready to dump this stack of BTC's on the market.

The largest transaction in the last 24 hours came from the whale which moved 5,500 BTC, worth $44.1 million, from one wallet to another.

As BTC continues to trade towards the $8,000 price mark, we’ll see more and more of these whales making their moves, and while some might see this as doom for the market, others simply say: buy the dips.
