Justin Sun: Tron will have more active users than EOS and ETH combined

Tron CEO Justin Sun sat down with CNBC Crypto Trader host Ran NeuNer at Consensus 2019 to discuss the upcoming developments with Tron and BitTorrent Token (BTT).

When asked about any upcoming developments, Sun spoke about implementing zk-SNARKS into the Tron network. The feature allows for transactions to be carried out without revealing any information to the rest of the network. Sun stated they will first introduce the feature into the private network before ultimately introducing it into the mainnet.

Sun then began discussing BTT and the string of developments being made. NeuNer made the point that BitTorrent is the one application that could receive a lot of mainstream adoption. Sun agreed, stating:

“I have just gone over the data with our chief data scientist. He said the number change is huge. The improvements of the BitTorrent protocol itself is tremendous, not mentioning the cryptocurrency introduced to the BitTorrent network. Everything is fantastic.”

He continued, stating that both the daily and monthly active users of BitTorrent has seen a dramatic increase. “I think after Q2 we will have the more active users than EOS and Ethereum combined."

NeuNer then asked if Sun believes if all of the criticisms he receives are justified. He says he doesn’t take all the criticism to heart and admitted that he considers Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin a friend.

Referring to Tron's competitors like EOS and Ethereum, Sun said competition is healthy for the crypto industry as a whole, stating "competition breeds success."
