McAfee to go dark due to developing events, no activities on Twitter ever since

John McAfee decided to "go dark" and hasn't been active on his Twitter account as usual since he made the announcement yesterday.

The question “Where is John McAfee?” has been a pretty common question since the man decided to flee from the US tax agency, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Regardless of his fugitive status, McAfee had been pretty open on his whereabouts to his Twitter followers and can be seen of actively engaging with them, among other things, such as commenting about cryptos and even promoting some of them.

A recent tweet on his Twitter account, however, sparked speculation on what just happened to the controversial guy.

“Developing events have made it necessary for John McAfee to go dark,” someone wrote on his account on Thursday.

“Please be advised that this account will be operated by staff until further notice. More details will be released in time,” the tweet wrote further.

The post has received hundreds of comments, most of them are asking what is going on and if he’s safe. As of writing time, no responses have been made by both McAfee and his wife, who once in a while joined the conversation with his husband’s followers.

Speculation has arisen that his "going dark" has anything to do with the IRS, whom have been hunting McAfee due to tax evasion in the last couple of months.

The man can be seen of accusing the agency and other authorities to have been harassing his former employees and business contacts in an earlier tweet just couple of days ago.
