Tone Vays on the Bitcoin surge: It just doesn't feel right...

The derivatives trader, analyst and YouTube personality Tone Vays was interviewed yesterday at Consensus 2019. His message was not as positive as those shared by others in the space, and he even appears to be selling of a part of his HODL position.

In an interview shared by BlockTV, Vays, who is commonly considered to be a Bitcoin maximalist, compared the current price action with a similar run in 2015 towards the end of the previous bear market.

However, Vays commented that the 2014 to 2015 bear market was longer and deeper, a difference which does not allows him to fully trust in the price recover:

“Everything going on here just doesn’t feel right. I don’t see new buyers coming in, I don’t see new money coming in, it’s just current money: it could be the issues at Bitfinex, the issues at Tether, the issues at Binance… whaetever is driving this is making me nervous”.

Furthermore, he ended his argumentation with a quite clear sell call: “I'm even selling off some of my HODL position because I think this is about to correct and correct hard”. Vays has been distinguishing himself as of late as one of the most skeptic voices in the crypto community with regards to the last run.
