Blockstream's Liquid network gets 14 new partners, goes live on Bitfinex

Today, Blockstream announced that not only had they secured 14 new partners to partake in their Liquid network, but also that L-BTC, the token native to the Liquid chain, is now available on Bitfinex.

The Liquid network is basically a blockchain that connects multiple exchanges and other market makers to offer fast and secure Bitcoin transactions across any participating platforms. Now, the team has just announced 14 new partners, which brings the total number of partners to 35. The newest additions are Bluefire Capital, BTCTrader/BtcTurk, Cobo, Coinut, DMM Bitcoin, FRNT Financial, Gate.io, Huobi, OpenNode, Poolin, Prycto, Sideshift AI, TaoTao, and Tilde.

That wasn't all the good news though, as it was also announced that the L-BTC coin used natively on the network is now available at popular exchange Bitfinex. Paolo Ardoino, CTO of Bitfinex, is quoted in the announcement as praising the possibilitied of the Liquid network:

"Issuing bitcoin, stablecoins, and various other digital assets under one blockchain platform makes a lot of sense. It reduces the integration burden for an exchange like ourselves, and traders can manage all their assets from a single wallet application."

This means Bitfinex joins RenrenBit and The Rock Trading as the only exchanges currently offering L-BTC. According to the announcement, they are working with BitMEX to bring the coin to their platform as well.

This looks like good news for Blockstream and Liquid, as it shows that there is interest in their project. Will more exchanges get on board? Stick with Chepicap for all updates.
