Microsoft will support JP Morgan's Quorum blockchain

Microsoft has partnered with JP Morgan Chase in order to support and promote the financial giant's Quorum blockchain technology. Quorum will be the first distributed ledger platform available through Microsoft's Azure service, as reported by CoinDesk.

enable "J.P. Morgan and Microsoft customers to build and scale blockchain networks in the cloud". Quorum will be used to support both JPM and Microsoft’s blockchain programs, and the bank’s Interbank Information Network.

JPM's controversial 'crypto' JPMCoin, a stablecoin used for blockchain remittances, also makes use of Quora. The blockchain will also be used to support the royalty payment points program in Xbox Live, which is an integral part of Microsoft's Xbox gaming platform.

Microsoft is also committed to finding solutions for its business client's needs that make use of Quora. The blockchain technology has now been live for over five years, and JP Morgan has apparently been "exploring options" for a possible separate company to be created, operating as a Quora-focused subsidiary.
