Charles Hoskinson responds to criticism over delays in Cardano testnet

It has been reported by AMBCrypto that Charles Hoskinson recently posted a video in which he addressed community concerns over Cardano's progress, specifically concerning the rollout of the Shelley testnet.

Hoskinson began by stating that it is unfair to compare Cardano to major companies like Microsoft and Amazon. While the project aims for great things, it is in a much younger stage of development than those giants.

He goes on to address criticisms that some feel the company is more concerned with making money than actually completing their project. Hoskinson denies these allegations, stating:

"Some people claim that the delays in the release of the Shelley testnet is making money but it’s actually the opposite. I am losing money with every single delay, a cost that the company as well as I am willing to bear."

He claims that the team is not borrowing any technology from anyone and they are building the entire project themselves from the ground up, and these things take time. Then he addresses the impatient and often immature nature of the community:

"Many users keep asking us to give a date for the testnet release and I am saying right now that will be done when it is time. Many who are asking do not even know what a testnet is and are asking simply for the sake of stirring up the ecosystem."

Whether the criticisms are unfair or not, Hoskinson makes a good point about projects as important as this taking a great deal of time and testing. Is it taking too long or are users just impatient? Stick with Chepicap for any updates!
