Peter McCormack offers Craig Wright £100,000 to prove he’s Satoshi

Yesterday Chepicap reported that Craig Wright had finally gone ahead with his plan to take Bitcoin podcaster Peter McCormack to court. Now, McCormack has retaliated by offering Wright £100,000 ($129,960) to prove he’s Satoshi Nakamoto.

Yesterday, Wright went ahead with his promise to sue Peter McCormack for a series of libelous tweets he made in March and April. Wright is seeking £100,000 in damages and an injunction to prevent McCormack from publishing similar comments in the future.

Now, in response, McCormack has made an interesting offer to Wright’s legal representatives. The podcaster has stated he will agree to all of the terms outlined in the lawsuit plus throw in £50,000 ($65,000) to the settlement. In return, Wright has to pay £50,000 worth of Bitcoin from Satoshi’s Nakamoto’s wallet. Wright hasn’t responded at the time of writing.

Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum co-founder, was another high-profile individual targeted by Wright, along with twitter user Hodlonaut. The consequences of Wright’s actions have resulted in Bitcoin SV being delisted from several exchanges.

As they have in the past, the community is standing by McCormack:
