Huobi criticizes Binance for delisting BSV 'out of personal preference'

The delisting of Bitcoin SV by Binance earlier this week was followed by cheers from the crypto community. But there were also sceptical reactions from people who said that a project shouldn't be delisted just because the CEO of an exchange, in this case Changpeng Zhao, had issues with the man behind a project, in this case Craig Wright. Huobi now says it won't delist Bitcoin SV.

Since the delisting of BSV by Binance, other exchanges such as Kraken followed, while trading platforms like OKEx did not want to delist the project because it didn't violated their terms. Now, Huobi CEO Livio Weng has come out with a tweet about the position of his exchange regarding BSV.

Weng says the following in a tweet: 'I’ve been asked a lot about Huobi’s attitude toward BSV. My firm belief is that fraud is both unethical and against Huobi’s core values. But exchanges should never list/delist coins out of management’s personal preference, or turn serious listing matters into online warfare.'

Weng continues by saing: 'We will not delist BSV for now. For any delisting decision making, we will gather opinions from as many users as possible before we make the final decision in a responsible manner.'

The official reason of Binance for delisting Bitcoin SV was that it didn't pass the review. But days earlier, CEO Changpeng Zhao had called Craig Wright 'a fraud' following new claims by the Australian businessman that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. Following legal letters from Wright to @Hodlonaut, PeterMcCormack, Vitalik Buterin and Chepicap, CZ said that 'Craig Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto. Anymore of this shi*t and we'll delist'.

On Thursday it became clear that PeterMcCormack and Wright are going to court, with Wright claiming £100,000 from McCormack for calling him 'Faketoshi' and 'a fraud'.
