IMF poll shows cryptocurrency to be most popular option for future payments

In a recent tweet from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that asked users "How do you think you will be paying for lunch in 5 years?" The top answer surprisingly was cryptocurrencies. 

The recent tweet which still has an active open poll running for another 18 hours, had amassed over 18,000 votes so far.

The question being put out to the twitter community was "How do you think you will be paying for lunch in 5 years?". Several options including crypto, cash, bank card and mobile payments are options in the poll.

Currently the poll has cryptocurrencies in the lead with 55% of the votes, while mobile phone comes in second with 30% followed by Bank card and cash both totalling 15% combined.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an organization of 189 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world. So the recent poll on their twitter profile is a good example of what people expect to be using in the future.
