Co-host of CNBC's Squawk Box: 'to invest 1% of portfolio in BTC is crazy'

Becky Quick, the co-host of CNBC's Squawk Box, tells Tom Lee, the head of research firm Fundstrat Global, that investing 1% of your portfolio into Bitcoin is crazy.

The co-host of CNBC's Squawk Box, Becky Quick, seemed genuinely shocked to hear Tom Lee say that his research firm Fundstrat Global would recommend investors to have 1 to 2% of their portfolio invested into Bitcoin.

'For a retail investor, somebody who is saving for retirement, putting that aside, that seems crazy to me', Quick said.

When Lee points out that most investors could afford to lose that 1% of their portfilio in case Bitcoin goes belly up, Becky 'Quickly' interupts:

'That is crazy', she says. 'You might as well throw it away on high fees.'

'You are taking a flyer on this. You don't know where it is going to go, or what is going to happen.'

It seems that Twitter cryptoverse is taking notice and is asking Becky why she thinks investing 1% into Bitcoin is 'crazy'?

In the meanwhile, Becky seems to double down on her 'crazy' comment.
