Brian Armstrong talks about issues with sending crypto to Venezuela

It has been reported by The Daily Hodl that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has taken to twitter to explain how the company is experimenting with sending crypto to Venezuela to aid in the current financial crisis hitting the country. There have been issues now that the nation is seeing rolling blackouts.

Despite the best efforts, there have been issues getting crypto into the hands of those who need it most. For one, the nation is experiencing blackouts. Without electricity, there is no easy way to access cryptocurrency.

In addition to this, many Venezuelans are using versions of Android that are rather outdated, which meant the team at Coinbase had to retrofit their wallet software.

Ultimately, Armstrong admits it is still very much an experiment and more data is needed.
