Following the news that the company had been purchased for a mammoth $150 million, the OMG token immediately saw double figure gains. However, OmiseGO have no commented on the news that has been flying around stating that this "information is false"

Founder of OmiseGO, Jun Hasegawa also commented on the article shared by another twitter user, commenting "fake" on the post. However the tweet was deleted by the user shortly after. Hasegawa also tweeted that the information was in fact false.

It appears users should ensure they wait in future for an announcement by the actual company before assuming the news is in fact legitimate based on online news sources.
