BTC dominance in the crypto market falls to three-month low

Bitcoin (BTC) dominance is currently around the lowest point it has been for three months. On March 15 it fell below 51 percent for the first time since the end of December 2018.

Double-digit gains for altcoins, often ones in the top 50, have become a regular occurrence in the last month or so. BTC dominance is now at 50.8%, having remained below 51 percent for consecutive days for the first time since August 2018.
