Latin American BTC exchange Bitinka, updates wallets for Lightning network

The lightning network, known for its fast and cheap transactions, is now being implemented into Bitinka, as per the companies announcement on their blog.

The update over to the lightning network is set to take place on March 26th, 2019 at 4:00 PM (GMT-5), and they are urging that you generate a new address of Bitcoin wallet in order to make deposits on the new platform. The sooner this is done, the better as all deposits made after March 26th run the risk of not being registered in the platform.

Bitinka, although being based out of Latin America, they hold a strong presence in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Peru, and Venezuela. Founded in 2013 the exchange currently allows the buying and selling of Bitcoin in nine different currencies across America and Europe. These currencies include: American Dollar, Nuevo Sol, Argentinian Peso, Boliviano, Real, Chilean Peso, Colombian Peso, Bolivar and Euro. The Hong Kong Dollar, Mexican Peso and India Rupee are expected to be added soon.

The lightning network, known for being a great option for scalability, shows that Bitinka is looking into the future and planning ahead, in a positive manner.
