The CBOE Bitcoin futures won't be missed says the crypto community

News recently broke that the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) would be putting the breaks on Bitcoin futures contracts for March. The crypto community didn’t seem too bothered.

Twitter user @NicTrades shared the news on the social media platform. Another user asked how this would affect the price of Bitcoin, NicTrades responded by saying it likely won’t have much impact at all considering CBOE volumes were much lower than that of CME Group.

Some were sad to hear the news but generally the crypto community on Twitter were actually quite pleased:

Some were concerned that the price of Bitcoin may be negatively affected. However, at the time of writing, Bitcoin is up 0.79% trading at $3,944.44.

While the CME has much higher Bitcoin futures trading volumes, Chepicap recently reported that both the CBOE and the CME were suffering from the lowest Bitcoin futures trading volumes since launch last year.
