Roger Ver urges users not to #DeleteCoinbase, leading to mass mockery

The #DeleteCoinbase movement is ever growing, encouraging more and more crypto investors and speculators to erase their accounts with the broker. While there are many notable propagators of this movement, it appears that Roger Ver is not among them…

The movement picked up momentum after Coinbase’s acquisition of Neutrino, a blockchain analysis company whose founders were once embroiled in a scandal involving the sale of hacked data to governments. This kind of association is counter to the crypto industry’s fundamental ethics and ideals, of which privacy and independence from governance thrive, giving rise to the #DeleteCoinbase movement.

Many on crypto Twitter joined the fray, deleting their accounts and posting proof of such:

The message spread far and wide…

However, not everyone was keen, and one antagonist of the movement decided to show his cards:

Roger Ver aka Bitcoin Cash Jesus, a highly devises character with the crypto industry came out in support of Coinbase, arguing that the broker exchange had done much in the way to drive crypto adoption:

However, the response from the community was less than supportive of Ver, with many recounting the time where he alleged that failed exchange and outright omnishambles, Mt.gox, was solvent, mere months before it collapsed, taking an estimated 850,000 BTC down with it.

however, some did agree with Ver, remembering Coinbase for the good, rather than the bad:

Where do you stand on the debate? Is Coinbase Near defunct? Or should it be recognized as one of the great crypto catalysts of our time? Let us know in the comments!
