Whale Watching: $148m combined BTC whale moves beat out XRP and ETH

This week saw the return of BTC to the top of the throne with two massive whale moves totalling $148m between them. XRP and ETH rounded off the list which saw the smallest whale move come in at $24 million. Not a bad week for whale moves, with just $10m seperating 4th and 2nd place.

With the markets hotting up and BTC retesting resistance under $4,000, it comes as no surprise that this week saw more whale activity than normal. The top five transactions totalled $288m, however the movement of coins across the board appears to have increased.

XRP once again makes the list with a 200m XRP move valued at $61m. XRP had several whale moves within their wallets including lock ups totalling over $200m. However, we have not included those as they appear to be internal moves.
