Cryptopia traders will find out on Monday if their funds are still intact

The recently hacked new Zealand-based, Cryptopia exchange, announced today that a “read-only” version of the platform will go live on Monday 4th of March, meaning that traders affected by the $16 million hack, can see just how affected they are…

In a further tweet, the firm announced the return of founders, Adam Clark, and Rob Dawson, who will take the lead in setting a strategic direction for the exchange.

As reported Police granted the exchange permission to continue trading this month, however, the firm noted in a statement that they didn’t want to jeopardise user funds further:

“While the Police statement that they are no longer constraining our return to operations and trading, it would be extremely reckless for us to do this until we can fully identify the losses and ensure that the balance is absolutely secure.”

It appears this latest move is an attempt at transparency, allowing users to see just how much impact the hack had.
