Tron (TRX) enters China's CCID blockchain rankings in 2nd place

The latest blockchain rankings from China's Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) have been released. EOS takes the top spot as usual, with Tron (TRX) entering for the first time, in second place.

Part of the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China's monthly CCID rankings evaluate blockchains using a number of different criteria. 35 projects were evaluated this time around, with Tron (TRX) being the only new addition.

TRX's high score for 'basic tech' is what saw it beat out all other competitors to come in second, with only first-placed EOS beating it in this field. It also scored highly for 'applicability', with only third-placed Ethereum (ETH) scoring higher on this metric.

As for the 'creativity' metric, ETH had the second-highest score behind Bitcoin (BTC), which came in 13th place overall. 8th-placed Lisk (LSK) also scores highly for creativity.

GXChain (GXC) and BitShares (BTS) held on to 4th and 5th place respectively, with Ontology (ONT) slipping down to 6th from the third-placed spot that it held in January's rankings.

Nano (NANO) appears to have improved the most since last time, jumping nine places to 12th in the rankings. This is mostly due to an improvement in its basic-tech score.
