Tim Sweeney, Fortnite creator: I know nothing about EOS

Sometimes, crypto media and enthusiasts alike are a bit too fast when claiming endorsement of the tech by popular figures. Tim Sweeney seems to be the latest personality to be misinterpreted by the crypto limelight, regarding his comments about EOS today. The creator of Fortnite has replied to news portraying him as a supporter of EOS.

Earlier today, Sweeney replied to a couple of comments that were bashing EOS for its allegedly unmanageable scalability, provoked by the blockchain increasing to 4 TB in size since its launch:

The comments of Sweeney seem to have been understood by many as an endorsement of the technical principles behind EOS. However, he seems to be surprised by this angle on his words, up to the point to replying to a crypto media post that mentioned him on their headline:

A thread has been created on Reddit, where most comments are portraying crypto media under a certainly negative light for what they call a misuse of Sweeney’s words. The most upvoted post hints in that direction:
