Justin Sun takes the Lightning Torch - is Kobe Bryant next?

Tron (TRX) founder Justin Sun is the latest link in the Lightning Network Trust Chain. The 'torch' was passed to him by TrustWallet founder Viktor Radchenko, who had received it from Binance head Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao, and people are speculating on where it could go next.

The Lightning Network Trust Chain, as it has come to be known, was launched on January 20 by Twitter user @hodlonaut. He sent a very small amount of crypto to another user via the tippin.me BTC micro-payment wallet, which makes use of the Lightning Network. Intended as a fun experiment, it rapidly captured the imagination of the crypto community, and also functions as a strength test for small payments made on the LN.

Three weeks later the #LNTrustChain is yet to be broken, and the 'torch' has passed through the 'hands' of some high-profile figures. At one stage it was passed to Twitter head Jack Dorsey, and it was in the possession of Binance CEO CZ for around 20 hours.

Now Justin Sun is holding the torch, and he seems particularly proud of this honour. He predictably took this as an opportunity to promote himself, with a (quite badly) photoshopped image posted on his Twitter.

CZ suggested that NBA legend Kobe Bryant could be the next link in the chain, and other members of the community have weighed in with their own ideas, as well as their disapproval of Sun as a torchbearer.
