The Silicon Valley fintech startup Ripple, promises multi-million dollar XRP bonus packages to new talent, as Ripple is looking to hire more than a dozen engineers and technical experts, including a new head of engineering for its xCurrent project.
According to one engineer, who shared his recruiting email from late 2018 with Coindesk, Ripple promised him an XRP package of $3 million, which was in addition to his monthly salary.
XRP bonuses for engineers can range in value from $1 million to $6 million, according to another conversation with two engineers.
A former employee pointed out that generous equity deals are pretty much the standard in Silicon Valley, however, he added that he never heard of such XRP bonus packages before 2017.
A Ripple representative said that the company currently employs around 90 engineers and technology experts, and that they have plans to hire 'aggressively' in order to expand its services.
'We move fast to acquire the best talent out there, especially considering the highly competitive nature of other startups who want to hire similar candidates.'
Ripple is recruiting software experts with Java or C++ language expertise and 'an ample dose of teachability'.
'We are not necessarily looking for blockchain experts. We can always teach domain-specific expertise. We also think it’s important that our engineers carry themselves with humility and are able to think creatively about how to solve hard problems.'
When you take a quick look at the career opportunities on the Ripple website, you will notice that there are plenty of opportunities to find yourself working at a Ripple desk. Apparently they are looking for more than a dozen engineers, including a new head of engineering for its xCurrent project.
So, if you think you are suitable for a new career at Ripple, and you know you would be able to enjoy a sweet multi-million dollar XRP bonus package, head over and start applying.
It is not clear, however, if these mutli-million dollar deals are still being offered in 2019.
