The #LNTrustChain movement still continues, Binance's CEO, Changpeng Zhao now holds the torch, and he's asking suggestions on whom he should send it to.
The Lightning Torch payment movement is still going. After Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey got passed it just a couple of days ago, now Binance’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao holds it.
CZ was passed the torch by TravelbyBit, who received it from an Australian crypto podcaster, Guy Swann.
The Brisbane-based travel startup that was acquired by Binance last year, then, challenged CZ to be the next torch bearer.
They tweeted, “@cz_binance, if you're up for the challenge, send us a payment invoice for 3,210,000 satoshis! 💪”, which then replied, “Accepted, hang on tight,” by CZ.
CZ seems to be pretty excited to get the torch and be part of the #LNTrustChain movement, as he tweeted, “I must say, it feels very cool in my virtual hand. :)”
He also asked for advices from his followers on whom he should pass the torch forward.
The advices vary, most of them suggesting him to send it over to Elon Musk, on which he responded by saying that the Tesla’s founder doesn’t follow him, thus it will unlikely grab his attention.
Another user suggested him to send to the Lightning Labs’ co-founder, Elizabeth Stark, on which she replied that she already received it before. She, then, mentioned Litecoin's Charlie Lee, which Lee replied that he will take it since no one wants it.
I will take it off your hands since no one wants it. 😂— Charlie Lee [LTC⚡] (@SatoshiLite) February 11, 2019
Many users pointed to @pewdiepie to be the next torch bearer, while the other advices are quite random, like John McAfee, Bitmex’s Arthur Hayes, Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong.
One pretty hilarious comment came from user @Crypt0mer who said that the chain will be broken, in response to the suggestion to send the Lightning Torch to Roger Ver.
