QuadrigaCX court hearing: Judge grants 30-day creditor protection

The QuadrigaCX court hearing is now drawing to a close at Nova Scotia Supreme Court. The judge has decided to grant the requested 30-day creditor protection to the exchange.

A major part of the discussion since the court was re-adjourned for the second session has been regarding the privacy of QuadrigaCX users. An announcement needs to go out informing potential creditors of how to apply for compensation, but as a crypto exchange, Quadriga has always sought to protect the privacy of its clients.

There has been discussion of using Reddit to reach out to creditors, which could lead to some pretty interesting developments. The judge has ruled that a stay of proceedings is likely to be granted today. He also cautioned against using a courier to transport the laptop from Toronto, due to how much money is potentially stored on there.
