Ethereum devs meeting: Constantinople update to be activated in late February

Per the Ethereum developers call which took place today, it has been agreed that Constantinople will have to wait 6 more weeks.

According to Vitalik’s comments, the hard fork will come around block number 7.25 million to 7.3 million, which is estimated to be mined at some point on the last two weeks of February. Later statements by developer Péter Szilágyi narrow down the date even more, to block 7.28 million.

On the call, several other relevant developers were present, such as Hudson Jameson, Afri Schoedon or Danny Ryan, among others.

The delay proposal comes after the safety firm ChainSecurtiy flagged earlier this week a critical vulnerability in Constantinople.

Twitter reactions to the news came mostly from TRON supporters hoping that their token would take the chance.
