Joseph Lubin of ConsenSys will join new crypto exchange, ErisX as director

ErisX expects to be benefited from Joseph Lubin's extensive experience as they welcome him on the board of directors.

New crypto exchange, ErisX just made an announcement of new additions to their board of directors. Among those is Ethereum’s co-founder, Joseph Lubin, who’s also the founder of ConsenSys.

Speaking about his appointment, Lubin said, “I look forward to bringing my experience with decentralized technologies and digital assets to a model that will further democratize access to digital assets. 2019 is likely to be a breakthrough year for digital assets, and the exceptional ErisX team is poised to lead.”

On the new platform that just secured $27.5 million funding from investors like Fidelity and Nasdaq less than a month ago, he said “ErisX has a unique position in the market with support from a wide range of investors as well as experienced leaders at the helm.”

As previously reported by Chepicap, ErisX’s key feature is the options it gives to investors to trade Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ether on both spot and future markets.

The new exchange expects to be benefited from Lubin’s extensive background in the digital space, quoting the CEO, Tom Chippas, “ErisX will benefit from the unique perspectives he offers and the enthusiasm he brings to the space.”

Lubin will be joining Don Wilson, CEO of DRW, Antonio Gracias, Managing Partner at Valor Equity Partners, Cris Conde from SunGard, and Thomas Chippas on ErisX’s board of directors.
