Tron receiving mixed feelings regarding $1 million developer contest

Tron appear to be getting some mixed feelings from developers and users who participated in the TRON developer contest which recently ended.

Reddit user @9hil published a post titled "Something fishy is going on with the Tron Accelerator $1m developer contest"

In the Reddit post, the user explains some strange activity that has been happening within the TRON developer contest.

Tron have apparently changed the prize pool to include 100 winners instead of 57 winner. Therefore reducing the prizes for each winner. This was done according to Tron due to the influx of entrants who participated in the contest. The prize pool still remains $1,000,000 but that doesnt appear to be the case according to one Super Representative candidate who posted "Nobody even knows that they'll pay out the full 1,000,000 I can guarantee they won't. They didn't pay out the full amount last competition They're not cutting prize amounts because so many people supposedly entered, they're cutting them because they won't pay the full amount. 100 winners is not better than 57 when the majority of those winners took 30 minutes to reskin an existing smart contract on the network You can make all the excuses you want, or try to see the good in it but you're only lying to yourself When we got $75k shaved off our prize, we weren't happy because 100 winners were better than 57. They didn't even pick winners for some of the prizes."

According to some research done by the user, the winning Tron dApp features no activity with minimum github commits. Several cloned apps also appeared to have won prizes, even though they were clones of cloned apps. Some apps were not even on the mainnet. Tron have yet to post a full list of winners and the community are beginning to become skeptical about the way the contest has panned out.

The Reddit user concludes "If you want to watch this all unfold live, you can find the Tron dev discord here and go to the #tronaccelerator channel. Tons of FUD currently, bring popcorn."
