'The mainstream has forgotten about Bitcoin. Again!' says Chris Burniske

Chris Burniske, a leading cryptocurrency analyst, researcher, co-author of the book Cryptoassets and partner at Placeholder Venture Capital, tweeted to his 113K Twitter followers claiming that the mainstream has almost entirely forgotton about Bitcoin. Again!

'In conversations with people from home', he says, 'many recall the crypto hype from a year ago, but have stopped paying attention since.'

Clearly, Bitcoin isn't the hype it once was. The mainstream media outlets have stopped showing interest and many want to forget Bitcoin ever existed, especially those who invested hardearned lifesavings at the beginning of 2018.

A year ago, cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin was talked about all the time, on all media, all over the world. Today, not that much.

However, Burniske quickly points out that he didn't say this to dishearten anybody. 'Quite the opposite', he tweets.

'There are now many more decision makers that gained a basic understanding of the cryptocurrency industry. Which is great', he says.

'The technologists & financial folks that feed off the bleeding edge continue to pay attention, invest, or build, just as happened in 2015.'

Not everybody agrees that Bitcoin has been forgotten by the mainstream.

Even though Boden isn't wrong and many investors and mainstream people did lose interest in Bitcoin, development is still happening and is in full swing.

Mainstream will be back on board, once that long anticipated bull run will take off.
