The Tron (TRX) network has reached a significant milestone. According to Tronscan's blockchain data, there are now over a million unique user addresses registerered.
The total number of Tron addresses currently stands at 1,042,753. The network reached the one million mark a few days ago, on December 23. This has been a particularly positive month for Tron growth, with the highest 24h increase of the year (44,070 new addresses) being recorded on December 16.
As reported by CoinTelegraph, one Twitter user pointed out that the impressive speed at which Tron managed to reach this milestone. One million addresses were recorded in just 6 months, compared to nearly a year and a half for the Ethereum (ETH) network.

This comparison with the Ethereum network represents another step in the ongoing journey towards 'killing' ETH that many have predicted for TRX, not least of all the Tron founder himself, Justin Sun. He has tweeted regularly about the superior transaction volumes on Tron dApps compared to those built on the Ethereum network, and recently encouraged developers from Ethereum and its troubled production studio project, ConsenSys, to join the Tron "family".
