African crypto exchange KuBitX goes live

African cryptocurrency exchange KuBitX has announced that it has officially gone live, the exchange which is based in Nigeria, announced that the platform had gone live with it's exchange and OTC wallet.

KuBitX has launched its digital asset exchange and hybrid OTC wallet this week, following months of testing.

KubitX exchange becomes one of a handful of exchanges on the continent looking to push cryptocurrency adoption in Africa. Currently the exchange will be offering 22 digital assets on four markets, including BTC, ETH, USDT, and KBX.

KuBitX exchange also announced that it is one of the first exchanges in the world to achieve a transaction speed of 10m transactions per second, a major feat for an African exchange. KuBitX looks set rival crypto exchanges on the continent by offering tools to combat anti-market manipulation and trade surveillance to ensure that the exchange is regulatory compliant.

The official launch of the exchange was 20th December 2018. While the exchange may have launched in a bear market, the future potential of cryptocurrencies in Africa is immense, and KuBitX looks set to become one of the major players in the space.
