'No one took us up on our $1 million bet' says Anthony Pompliano

Morgan Creek founder Anthony Pompliano, tweeted out to his 178K Twitter followers that no one took him up on the company’s $1 million bet, where they bet $1 million that digital assets will outperform the S&P 500 over the next 10 years.

On December 6, Chepicap reported that Morgan Creek founder Anthony Pompliano had isseud a $1 million challenge, inviting investors and money management professionals to bet on the S&P 500 making more money than crypto over the next ten years.

The crypto investing firm called the challenge 'Buffett Bet 2.0', referring to the famous Warren Buffett bet, which began in 2008 when the billionaire investor bet $1 million that investing in a S&P 500 index fund would see a greater result than investing in hedge funds. A bet that Buffet won earlier this year.

Unilke Warren Buffet, Morgan Creek Digital is now betting against the S&P 500.

However, despite the $1 million on the table, Pompliano wrote that since opening the challenge, the company has not found anyone willing to take up the opposite position.

A sign, according to Pompliano, that while conventional market investors regularly criticise crypto, they do not actually believe their own words.

'Don’t listen to the naysayers. They don’t even believe what they say.'

What do you think? Time for the naysayers 'to put up or shut up'?
