Gitcoin rolls out new ERC-721 collectible, Kudos

Unhashed is reporting that Gitcoin, a site for developers to set and receive bounties on projects, has now released a new incentive in the form of a collectible ERC-721 token called Kudos. Like cryptokitties, Kudos would be non-fungible collectibles that could be used as rewards and collected.

Gitcoin is a platform for issuing bounties and rewards to developers for working on one or another aspect of a project. Developers get rewarded with crypto, traditionally Ether or ERC-20 tokens. Now, the platform has added a ERC-721 token named Kudos.

Much like cryptokitties, which launched last year, each Kudos token can be verified on blockchain and comes with a unique design. Designers get rewarded the price of the token, and users can then collect tokens that are given out like achievements in a video game. Already people are proposing various forms of Kudos on the project's Github page.

It will be exciting to see what types of Kudos are created and what types of valuation they receive. It seems to be the beginning of the rise of non-currency digital assets. As always, stick with Chepicap for all updates!
