Coinbase's head of trading resigns only 6 months after taking the position

Coinbase’s head of trading, Hunter Merghart resigns only 6 months after taking the position.

After laying off their remote staffs just recently, another news on Coinbase’s employment matter emerges.

Their head of trading, Hunter Merghart is reported to have resigned from the company only 6 months after taking the position, as reported by Coindesk.

Coinbase refused to answer any questions related to it, however, according to a reliable anonymous source, Merghart left the company last week and is currently exploring new opportunities.

It was also reported just a couple of weeks ago that the company’s 5th employee, Adam White decided to leave Coinbase and joined Bakkt as their Chief Operating Officer.

With the company’s plan to hold an IPO, employment matters become a “sensitive topic”, which have drawn the public’s attention and raised many questions.

That said, the company “proves” that their future prospect and growth are not affected with such issues with the recent $300 million investment the company managed to secure from multiple parties, such as the Y Combinator and Andreessen Horowitz.
