Binance Uganda goes live with active trading

Binance announced on its Medium blog today that active trading had begun on Binance Uganda, the company's first fiat-crypto pairing exchange. Just earlier this month Binanace announced the opening of deposits to the exchange.

Currently, the exchange supports pairings for BTC/UGX and ETH/UGX, UGX being the Ugandan Shilling of course. Binance sees this as a chance to support growth in Africa as well as bring crypto to new regions.

From the blog:

"At Binance, we desire to play a huge role in advocating for blockchain-fueled development in Africa. In fact, some of our divisions have opened up about their future plans on the continent."

The blog goes on to state how not only Binance Labs but also the Blockchain Charity Foundation are making big strides to help out not only in Africa but worldwide.

This stands to be a huge step forward for both Binance and Uganda. Hopefully we will see some new pairings soon! Stay tuned to Chepicap for all updates.
