TRON looks at partnership opportunities with Oracle

The Tron team recently met with one of the largest software providers in the world – Oracle – to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

The CEO of Tron, Justin Sun, has taken some flak of late for his knack of announcing announcments and his rather dubious interpretation of the term “partnership”; however, the following tweet appears to be free of ambiguity:

According to the original Linkedin post, Oracle a leader in IT and cloud management systems, met with envoys from the Tron team to explore smart contracts, tokenization and the potential for a partnership.

Although an official partnership hasn’t been confirmed, and the actual minutes of the meeting itself remain under wraps; it didn’t stop Tron aficionados celebrating the news.

Tron and its CEO, Sun came under fire recently for their supposed partnership with the so-called ‘Google of China’, Baidu. The ‘partnership’ it turned out was little more than an arrangement between Tron and Baidu for the use of their cloud services, something, Ari Paul, co-founder of BlockTower capital pointed out as “misleading marketing”:
