Canaan Creative unveils new A911 mining rig along with mining heater and more

Canaan Creative, announces the new Avalonminer A911, the companies latest mining rig. This however isn't their only announcement. Canaan, being one of the worlds largest crypto mining manufacturers also announced plans on developing a mining heater, portable miner, and the starting development of their new 5nm chip.

Canaan Creative announced all of their new products October 13 at the 2018 Mining Summit in Chengdu, China.

Cheng Feng, Canaan’s sales director stated that the company's just released miner will output 18 tera-hashes per second (TH/s), with a power consumption of 1440w and perform at 80 Watts per THS of power usage.

Cannan Creative’s new A911 miner will be powered by their 2 month old 7nm mining chip. Although this 7nm chip is brand new, Canaan revealed that it is already developing a new 5nm mining chip.

This new 5nm chip is expected to be launched in trail production during the second half of 2019, with the goal of mass production in 2020. This was all revealed by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) on their official website.

The 5nm chip compares to the 7nm chip by the 5nm adopting extreme ultraviolet lithography “for more critical layers to reduce multi-pattern process complexity while achieving aggressive die area scaling.”

Feng also announced at the Mining Summit Canaan’s intention to break into a different sector, integrating their computing technology into household appliances. One of these household appliances is a cloud-computing heater.
