Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has revealed how much Ether he holds. In a discussion with NYU economist Nouriel Roubini, Buterin shared his Ethereum address.
Roubini, who predicted the 2008 financial crisis and goes by the nickname 'Docter Doom', accused Vitalik and Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin of stealing 75% of the Ether 'and became instant billionaires of fake wealth'. According to Roubini, Vitalik en Lubin were the ring-leaders of the 'criminal pre-mining sale/scam that created Ether'.
Vitalik, just shut up & speak about stuff that you can claim u know a lil about. You have promising Proof of Stake since 2013 & we are still waiting for a system that is scalable, decentralized & secure. But that is impossible as your inconsistent trinity principle proves. https://t.co/2VtkG764wL— Nouriel Roubini (@Nouriel) October 10, 2018
@VitalikButerin was the ring-leader - together with Joe Lubin - of the criminal pre-mining sale/scam that created Ether. They stole 75% of the Ether supply and became instant "billionaires" of fake wealth. https://t.co/d3ltYuce4u— Nouriel Roubini (@Nouriel) October 10, 2018
Vitalik addressed the allegations by stating that he personally 'never held more than 0,9% ETH, and my net worth never came close to $1b.' He added that he is pretty sure 'there are no criminal laws against pre-mining'.
I never personally held more than ~0.9% of all ETH, and my net worth never came close to $1b. Also, I'm pretty sure there are no criminal laws against pre-mining.— Vitalik Non-giver of Ether (@VitalikButerin) October 10, 2018
He then shared his Ethereum address, disclosing his holdings. The wallet of Vitalik contains 365,003 Ether, worth over $73 million at the time of writing.

Though that doesn't just include sales, it also includes some gifts and charity donations.
All of the large trades. I also have some other addresses, but they're quite small relatively speaking.— Vitalik Non-giver of Ether (@VitalikButerin) October 10, 2018
The wallet also contains 32,000 OmiseGo, worth $100,000 and several other ERC 20 tokens, with a total worth of about $1500.
