Ripple co-founder included on Forbes 400 billionaires list

Ripple co-founder, Chris Larsen is included in the most recent Forbes’ 400 list of billionaires.

Chris Larsen, Ripple co-founder makes it to the Forbes’ 400 list announced on Thursday. With an estimated net worth of $2.1 billion, he’s ranked 383th on the wealthiest people on earth list.

This “achievement” is notable as Larsen is the first person ever makes it to the list with fortune solely comes from cryptocurrency, as reported by Bitsonline

That said, with wealth mainly comes from his possession of 5.19 billion XRP token and 17% share in Ripple Labs, Larsen’s net worth is heavily related to the token’s trading value.

In the beginning of the year when XRP token value was around $3.82, he was on the top 5 of the richest people in the world list, along with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg with $59 billion of net worth.

However, with XRP token valued at $0.47 today, Larsen’s net worth declines dramatically to $2.1 billion, which fortunately is the minimum bar to be included on the Forbes’ 400 list.

On the other hand, Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple Labs CEO's accumulated wealth unfortunately, wasn't enough to make him listed, for the same reason as Larsen’s reported declining estimated net worth.
