Chris Lee CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange platform OKEx, has resigned due to ‘personal reasons’. OKEx recently overtook Binance as the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world with a 24 hour turnover of $2 billion.
Bloomberg has reported on an email sent by the Hong Kong exchange, where it stated that Lee wished to ‘start a new life’ and wanted to spend some time with his family before returning to the world of blockchain.
OKEx traded over $2.07 billion in volume over the last 24 hours according to coinmarketcap.com, making it the world's largest and most widely-used crypto exchange. It has also been in the news for the major losses incurred by investors attempting to short EOS and BTC.
