Australian banker quits to work with crypto

The CFO of a major Australian bank has quit to work in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Block.one has announced in a press release that Rob Jesudason left his position at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia to work as COO at the Hong Kong based blockchain company Block.one. Block.one is behind EOS- a cryptocurrency with a market capitalisation of over 12 billion USD.

Block.one CEO Brendan Blumer has stated that “Rob has a proven track record of success in global financial services. His alignment with our organisational priorities of creating compliant, high performance blockchain solutions is an ideal fit for Block.one, and is an exciting conclusion to our thorough search for the right individual.”

Jesudason believes that blockchain technology holds a lot of promise for the future. He has said that “Blockchain will have a transformative impact on most industries in the coming years and will redefine operating models by streamlining businesses, while also reducing cost and risk.”
