Monero and Tezos defy the trend; Bitcoin makes modest improvement

The crypto market continues to feel the pressure of recent losses, struggling to regain much ground. Many coins in the top 10 are floating in a sea of red while Bitcoin and Monero and Tezos steer ever so slightly into the green.

In the past 24 hours Bitcoin (BTC) has gained a modest +1.19%, currently sitting just under the psychological level of $6500 at $6476. Unfortunately, other altcoins have not followed suit with Ethereum (ETH) down -2.36%, XRP at -0.86% and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) at -2.80%. Others in the top ten face a similar predicament with EOS, Stellar (XLM), Litecoin (LTC), and Cardano (ADA) at -0.99%, -0.81%, -0.70%, -1.43% respectively. Monero (XMR) is a winner in the top ten with an odds-defying +4.14% increase in the past 24 hours.

Outside of the top ten Tezos (XTZ) stands out from the pile with an impressive +10.67% increase in 24 hours, closely followed by ReddCoin (RDD) rising +10.12%.

The biggest losers include Dash at -4.02%, NEO at -2.27% and Ethereum Classic (ETC) at -1.40% on the 24-hour charts.

All prices correct at the time of writing.
