After a rough start to the week, today saw some positive signs as altcoins began to recover, bitcoin stayed above the key support of about $5800, and the total market cap came back above $200 billion.

Market capitalization/bitcoin dominance

Market capitalization is currently at $201,558,385,283, though still volatile. Despite altcoins taking a bit back, bitcoin dominance is still quite strong at 53.2%.

Current bitcoin price: $6,229.86 (+1.00%)

Though gains are modest, all of the top 10 coins are showing green today. Litecoin (LTC) is showing the slowest rebound at just +1.26%, while XRP and EOS are both performing admirably at +7.74% and +7.48% respectively. Ethereum, hit especially hard likely in part to all the tokens it hosts, has bounced back +4.53% to a current value of $283.11.

Highs and lows

From the top 100 cryptos we have a winner today with TenX rising +23.28%. The biggest tumble comes from Aurora, droppinng -33.03%.

It's impossible to say if the market has seen the bottom or if the recent ups and downs will continue as the consolidation pattern holds. Stay tuned to Chepicap for regular updates!
