Bitcoin hits the highest market share since December 19th, with more than 50% share of the entire crypto market capitalization.
Despite the price plunge, Bitcoin could be still the "most-wanted" cryptocurrency in the market thus far. According to Coindesk's report, Coinmarketcap showed Bitcoin's share of 50% of the total cryptocurrency market cap.
As of reporting time, Bitcoin's share is $105,930,091,931 out of $211,095,274,107 crypto market size, which is about 50.2% market share. This is said to be the highest market share since December 19th, 2017, when BTC's price was around $17,600.
Chart-wise, BTC showed a steady incline in the past few months, with a significant increase of 14% since May 1st, during which the market cap of other cryptocurrencies declined.
