Bitmain expanding its operations in Israel

According to Globes, leading Chinese bitcoin mining manufacturer Bitmain intends to exponentially grow its operations in Israel by hiring an additional 40 people for its office located in Israel’s central district of Ra’anana.

Currently Bitmain’s office in Israel employs 15 people, but Bitamin told Globes that it intends to recruit an additional 40, which would would include programmers, engineers, and marketing people.

This may come to some as a surprise says manager of operations in Israel, Gadi Glikberg, as “The world may be in a period of relative calm after the great hype of December 2017, but for the major companies in the field this is a golden opportunity to plan, build and grow, and Bitmain has identified the potential of Israeli know-how and capabilities to contribute to the company's global effort."

Bitcoin has seen a recent surge in the past several days rising to its current level of $7430 (USD), having gained 17% in the past seven days.
