Kevin O'Leary, a Canadian businessman, author and probably best known from the popular TV show Shark Tank, said that the dialogue on Bitcoin has dramatically changed during the last 60 days, calling Bitcoin a "Pioneer with arrows in it's back" on CNBC's "Fast Money".
O'Leary expresses an opinion, which basically says that Bitcoin will go down as the coin that paved the way for another newer coin, believing that Ethereum could have the potential to "becoming the new platform" adding that if he would be long on Bitcoin, he would start to worry.
He briefly touched on the topic of large investors, bankers and Wall Street entering the market saying that "The regulators aren't on board yet, and we have to wait until that happens, because at the end of the day you need to know if it is transparent, compliant, and the regulators are on board and then you'll see real money."
Obviously, not everyone shares O'Leary's future vision for Bitcoin:
This just in!! #BTC Bitcoin is a platform so says CNBC, “will #ETH overtake Bitcoin as a platform?” Speechless lol. Hire someone that understands the space. That’s like Mike Tyson hosting the weather channel asking “will Evian overtake the oceans??” Lol #NoOffence @MikeTyson pic.twitter.com/JcP1thbASG— PBinNashville (@PBinNashville) July 17, 2018
