OKEx announces massive Ontology giveaway worth $2.3 million

Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange OKEx has announced a massive giveaway of 450,000 Ontology tokens, worth over $2.3 million at the time of writing.

OKEx is celebrating the launch of the mainnet of Ontology on June 30. Before the release of Ontology 1.0, the NEO blockchain was the host of the $ONT tokens. OKEx will distribute 150,000 Ontology tokens to holders of native token $OKB. Thos who hold 100 OKB or more will receive $ONT based on the amount of $OKB they hold.

The other 300,000 $ONT will be distributed to the top 50,000 traders in pairs of Ontology with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether. During the promotional period, that runs from now until July 12, the top 50,000 users can get a random amount of 1 to 1000 $ONT. At best, traders receive $5200 worth of Ontology tokens.

Recently, Ontology announced that the second part of the $ONT airdrop to NEO holders will take place this upcoming period. The first half was distributed after a snapshot was taken in March of this year. For every NEO, 0.1 Ontology is airdropped.

Ontology, a high-performance public multi-chain project and distributed trust collaboration platform, currently has a market cap of $780 million. The project never had an ICO, instead, all tokens were distributed or airdropped. Subscribers to the Ontology newsletter received 1000 $ONT earlier this year, now worth $5200.
