Di Iorio, Ethereum co-founder, expresses confidence in a pair of Chinese coins

Anthony Di Iorio, co-founder of Ethereum, says he is investing on two Chinese cryptocurrencies.

Di Iorio, an early adopter and developer of blockchain technology told Bloomberg, “The biggest stake for me is in Qtum and VeChain right now, the two Chinese projects. There’s much more opportunity in newer ones if you can identify them.”

QTUM is distinguished by its use of whats called Proof-of-Stake consensus (POS) technology which allows participants to vote to change network factors such as block size without creating new forks.

VeChain is a platform focusing on financial services which is set to release its blockchain in the upcoming weeks. QTUM has a market cap of over $700 million, while VeChain is worth more than $1.3 billion.

Di Iorio is still hopeful for Bitcoin. "In general, it’s got amazing features and it’s got the ability to, because it’s scarce, great utility, you could move value quickly fast, it’s a first-mover advantage. I think it’s going to consistently do what its been doing over the last year as more people start to use it, I think it’ll go up.”
